We Always Try Provide You With An Accurate Job Estimate
During our visit to your home, we will take accurate measurements upon which to base our estimate. Additionally, we will inspect the area in an attempt to identify items that may represent a challenge (and hence extra cost) during the installation. Included will be:

Possible subfloor leveling requirements.

Areas that require special attention (staircases, high traffic areas, etc.)

Identification of special needs of transitions (room to room, room to hall, room to staircase, etc.)

Baseboards (reuse or replacement)

Presence of toxic materials (esp. lead paint and/or asbestos materials).
Our goal is to avoid, as much as possible, any "surprises" that
would incur additional costs or time during our installation.

In-Home Consultation
We begin our consultation before the visit, with a brief phone call at which time we'll ask you for a general idea of what you have in mind, so that we can make preparations so as to make our time together as fruitful as possible. During our visit to your home, we'll:

Show you samples that we have selected as being appropriate for your needs (don't worry, we can always come back with other samples if needed).

Measure the spaces that are to receive new flooring.

Inspect those spaces in order to identify possible problems that must be rectified before the flooring installation can proceed.
We Strive to Offer the Lowest Possible Prices
We to keep our costs as low as possible so as to pass the savings on to you... therefore:

We do not have an expensive storefront.

We buy in bulk as much as possible.

We do not utilize paid salespersons.

We do not have a "gimicky" website or other expensive advertising.
Both our proposal and invoice will be fully itemized to allow you to easily understand the nature and scope of all charges. And, we are always willing and available to discuss any items that may require clarification.

OUR HISTORY: In 2013, after spending over 10 years as an employee of a large flooring company, Samir Jimenez took the plunge and started San Diego Flooring Express. He now has over 20 years experience in the flooring business, fulfilling all major roles, from helping customers choose the materials for their new floor, installation, and maintenance.
